Vendor applications open for My Cape Town Market Durbanville

We are very excited to bring My Cape Town Market to Durbanville

Applications are now open for trading bays for vendors to be part of My Cape Town Market Durbanville, set to take place on Saturday, 24 June, and Sunday, 25 June, at Melina Street, Ridgeworth, Durbanville (next to the Old Oak Parks Depot).

'We are very excited to bring My Cape Town Market to Durbanville, which has a thriving community of traders creating unique goodies to eat, wear or use in one's home. Whether you are an artist, a gadget guru, or a whiz with a whisk, this market is an ideal opportunity to show what you have,' said Alderman James Vos, the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth. 

The event will also feature fun activities such as buskers, emerging artists, and a children's play zone.

'Neighbourhood markets have become massively popular in recent years with locals looking to reclaim that sense of community and international visitors seeking out those gems that give them a taste of South Africa. As the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, I am proud to support these platforms that give up-and-coming entrepreneurs and creators the scope to re-connect with previous customers, build new relationships, and boost economic opportunities,' said Alderman Vos.

Applications for trading at the market are now open with each trading bay costing R107,20 per bay/per day for the duration of the event (R214,40).

The closing date for digital and hard copy applications is Monday, 19 June 2023 at 15:00.
